At the office of Dr. Thomas J. Marcel we strive to provide the highest quality of orthodontic care and personal attention to our patients in and around the Tracy, Pleasanton and Livermore, California area. We know what a significant difference in health and self-esteem a beautiful smile can make.
As a family orthodontic practice we are dedicated to making sure that both you and your family are as comfortable as possible while in our office. Meet Our Doctor
Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Dr. Tom Marcel did most of his growing up in San Jose. He attended Santa Clara University, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Combined Sciences (biology, chemistry and physics). He went on to the University of California, San Francisco, where he received his dental degree and orthodontic specialty training.
Dr. Marcel has published articles relating to temporomandibular joint (TMJ) function and mandibular movement in professional journals and lectures to orthodontic and dental organizations throughout the U.S. and abroad. He also maintains teaching affiliation with the University of California San Francisco, University of the Pacific and the University of North Carolina.
He is co-founder and co-coordinator of the Livermore Community Dental Care, a non-profit organizations providing dental care and education to Livermore school children.
Dr. Marcel enjoys living in the Livermore community and has been involved in various civic programs such as coaching, sponsoring youth teams, Boys and Girls Club, scouts, local theaters and 4H clubs. His hobbies include reading, movies and cooking. As a sports nut, Dr. Marcel spends his time away from the office playing softball, running, bicycling and playing golf. Also a hockey enthusiast, Dr. Marcel is a big Sharks fan!
Meet Our Staff
Angie Delgado, Registered Dental Assistant/Chairside Assistant, Angie began her career in 1989 when she became a Registered Dental Assistant and started working in general and pediatric dentistry. She joined our team in 1991, bringing with her bilingual skills that allow her to communicate with our Spanish speaking patients and translate effectively. Angie feels the best part of working in orthodontics is seeing the patient through the completion of their treatment
Simona joined our team in June of 2015. She brings with her a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in Sociology from the University of California Santa Barbara, 10 years as a preschool teacher, and 11 years running her own childcare program. Her experience with children and her warm, caring personality enhances our practice. She was excited to enter the world of Orthodontics and experience the relationships we build with our patients.
Rob Eckert, Laboratory Technician, graduated from Chico State with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health and Psychology in 2000. He uses his knowledge and creative talent to fabricate custom appliances and retention appliances.
Stacey Chrupalo, Professional Relations Coordinator/Financial Assistant, has used her expertise in finance to enhance our administrative department since 2002. Her attention to detail and accuracy supports her in her role of preparing records and corresponding between patients, dental professionals and specialists
Kimberly Morphis, Office Manager/Registered Dental Assistant, Kim received her Registered Dental Assistant license in 1981. She has experience in supervising, clinical training, financial, and treatment coordinating which supports her in guiding the smooth flow of clinic and office operations. Kim has frequently been invited to present at a national level for the American Association of Orthodontics. She has been an essential member of our team since 1994.

Jennifer Riddell, Clinic Coordinator/Treatment Coordinator/Registered Dental Assistant/Orthodontic Assistant, is highly regarded for her exemplary orthodontic skill and compassion for her patients. She became a Registered Dental Assistant in 1991 and has assisted Dr. Marcel in treatment planning, correspondence, digital records, and chairside assisting since 2000
